Madison Russian School Guidelines for 2011-2012 Academic Year.

1. Educational Process:

a. Language proficiency of a student is determined by an instructor; linguistic needs of a student are accommodated accordingly.

b. Class schedule is designed in accordance with instructor and space availability. In the event that classes have to be rescheduled all students and parents in the group will be informed in advance by their instructor.

c. Classes may be cancelled due to extreme weather conditions; Madison Russian School generally follows MMSD snow day closings. If a class is on Saturday or Sunday, teachers and parents/students involved are responsible for coordinating cancelations.

2. Payment/Tuition:

a. A trial lesson is offered to all students. The lesson is free of charge on the condition that after the trial lesson a student did not enroll in the class. Otherwise, standard payment procedures apply.

b. Tuition payments are made for the entire term (total of 4 terms in an academic year) no later than the due date. Payment amount is determined according to the class size and is as follows:

4 students and more – $9 per hour;

3 students – $11 per hour;

2 students – $14 per hour;

1 student – to be determined on individual basis.

All payments received after the due date are expected to have $10.00 late fee added to the tuition payment for each class.

c. Tuition payments are made for the entire term. The following exceptions apply:

Financial Director (e-mail mgumenyuk@ukr.net) was informed in advance about the break in attendance with dates specified (no later than the first week of the term). In this case payment is reduced by $5.00 for every missed class ($7.5 for a 3 student class; $10 – 2student class; no payment required – 1 student class).

Payment will be prorated for new students who joined the group in the middle of the term.

d. Refunds are granted in the case of student relocation.

e. If the number of students in a group changes during a term, and tuition is affected, payment will be adjusted (reduced/increased) for the next term.

f. Registration fee of $25.00 per student for a full academic year ($13.00 if attendance started after the second term) is submitted with the first payment.

g. Teachers have an option of collecting extra money for the materials used in their class. In this case the payment is made directly to the teacher.

3. School and Community Events:

a. Madison Russian School organizes a variety of events offering a range of volunteer opportunities. All individuals interested in helping MRS are encouraged to contact school administration for more information.
