Congratulations to Madison Russian School students Lora and Maya Reinfeldt who won gold medals at Olympiada of Spoken Russian, which took place in New York on April 23, 2017 with more than 60 participants age 6-17!

MRS student wins at Living Classics final

Congratulations to Madison Russian School student Maxim Shumilov for placing 2nd in the National final of the Living Classics competition in Washington, D.C.! Make sure to watch his inspired, dramatic, and hilarious performance of a short story by A. Averchenko “A person behind a room divider”:

Olympiada of Spoken Russian

Congratulations to Madison Russian School students Yunna Gopan, Sofia Ortiz-Lunyova, and Michael Ortiz-Lunyov who won two gold and a silver medal, respectively, at the regional Olympiada of Spoken Russian.  The competition took place at the University of Chicago on March 18th, 2017, and had more than 90 participants from Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin.

Мы приглашаем вас принять участие в традиционном праздновании Международного женского дня. Празднование состоится в воскресенье, 5-го марта, в 3:00 в помещении Attic Angel Place (Community room) по адресу 8301 Old Sauk Rd.

Как обычно, мы приглашаем всех желающих взрослых и детей выступить в концерте самодеятельности со стихотворением, песней, танцем, сценкой или музыкальным номером. Пожалуйста, вышлите свою заявку с именами выступающих, названием номера и его предположительной продолжительностью по адресу velikina@wisc.edu до 1 марта.

После концерта мы приглашаем всех на чай и будем благодарны, если вы принесёте что-то к столу.

Dear friends!

We would like to invite you to our annual celebration of International Women’s Day, which will take place on Sunday, March 5th, at 3:00 pm in the Community room of Attic Angel Place (8301 Old Sauk Rd.).

As usual, we encourage both adults and children to participate in our concert with a poem, a song, a dance, a skit, or a musical performance. To register please email your name(s), the title and estimated length of your performance to velikina@wisc.edu by March 1st.

After the concert we invite you to stay for a pot-luck tea party.
